At Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, running a modern hospital takes more than clinical excellence. It requires innovation, strategy, and strong infrastructure. Our non-medical internship program brings together tomorrow's professionals to build the future of healthcare operations.
Whether you are pursuing a degree in business, technology, communications, or facility operations, our placements offer high-impact projects that directly support clinical teams and optimize our regional healthcare delivery system.
Structured programs coordinated directly with local or international universities to fulfill capstone or degree-mandated placement hours.
Designed for recent graduates or career changers looking to apply specialized skills to real-world healthcare infrastructure challenges.
To ensure a highly constructive learning environment, all incoming non-medical interns must meet the baseline operational standards below:
Minimum placement durations of 6 to 12 weeks, structured around full-time or part-time tracks depending on department project cycles.
Open to current tertiary-level students, recent undergraduates, or certified technical-vocational program candidates.
Requires a recent police record check, absolute signature of non-disclosure/confidentiality codes, and standard hospital onboarding.
Every intern is paired with a Department Head or Senior Lead for weekly evaluations, structured milestone reviews, and final project sign-offs.
